Shawn Teters
Coach Teters is a graduate of Springdale High School and Monmouth University. He was a 3-time All-Conference selection as well as an All-State and All-Star selection his senior year at Springdale. He is also a member of the Springdale Athletics Hall of Fame. He would go on to play baseball at D1 Monmouth University where they won their conference his first year there and played in a NCAA Regional. During his first year as head coach in Gentry, the team broke numerous school records including most wins and longest winning streak. They were Conference Runner-Up and 4A-1 Regional Champs as well as advancing to State for the first time in over 20 years and earned a spot in the State Semi-Finals for only the second time in school history. Coach Teters was awarded the Natural State Sports Coach of the Year in 2024. He followed that up with another successful campaign in his second year making it to the State Quarterfinals after winning the District Championship and finishing as Regional Runner-Up.
