Coach Anthony Nail is a graduate of Conway High School (Class of 2010) and Hendrix College (Class of 2014). Originally from central Arkansas, he and his wife, Celina, moved to Gentry in the summer of 2023 and welcomed their son, Fielder, in March 2025.
Coach Nail brings a wealth of experience to the Gentry baseball program, having previously coached at Marion, Ouachita, and Sheridan High Schools. During his tenure as head coach at Ouachita High School (2017–2022), the Warriors reached the state tournament in all five full seasons under his leadership. His teams made deep postseason runs, including a trip to the state semifinals in 2022 and quarterfinals in 2017. Under his guidance, Ouachita also claimed back-to-back regional championships in 2021 and 2022, and district titles in 2019 and 2022. The 2022 team set a school record with a 25–8 overall record.
In his second season as head coach at Gentry High School, Coach Nail led the Pioneers to both the regional and state tournaments for the first time in 13 years, finishing with a 20–11 record.
