Coach Drew Golden is entering his second year at Gentry, where he serves as the Defensive Line Coach, 7th Grade Defensive Coordinator, and Assistant Baseball Coach. In his first season with the Pioneers, he was part of a historic 9–3 football campaign in 2024 that advanced to the second round of the playoffs—the program’s deepest run in nearly 30 years. On the baseball side, he helped lead the team to regional and state tournament appearances for the first time in 13 years, finishing the season with an impressive 20–11 record.

A 2018 graduate of Malvern High School and 2022 graduate of Henderson State University, Coach Golden brings valuable experience from previous coaching stops at Malvern and Berryville. At Malvern, he coached receivers and defensive backs and was part of the team’s 2022 State Championship run. At Berryville, he served as the Defensive Line Coach and 7th Grade Defensive Coordinator.

Coach Golden is married to Hollie Golden, a 2018 graduate of Lincoln High School and fellow 2022 graduate of Henderson State University.
