Coach Bruce has been passionate about volleyball for nearly his entire life, a sport that has profoundly shaped his journey. He began playing in high school and continued competing in both indoor and outdoor leagues until just a few years ago. Volleyball is a family affair for Coach Bruce—two of his daughters played the sport, each winning a state championship with Bentonville High School, and one went on to play at the collegiate level.

With over 25 years of coaching experience, Coach Bruce has led teams at every level, from local Boys and Girls Club recreational leagues to high-performance club programs. He has attended numerous USA Volleyball and Gold Medal Squared (GMS) clinics, continually sharpening his skills and knowledge.

Dedicated to fostering a lifelong love for volleyball, Coach Bruce works with athletes of all ages and remains a student of the game himself, regularly watching collegiate and professional matches. In addition to coaching, he has served as an NFHS volleyball official for the past seven years.
